The reliability of this method was assessed by comparison with the results of phlebography and the clinical diagnosis in 104 patients. Furthermore, the diameter of the left testicular vein was determined on the phlebogram. Good correlation was found among the velocity of the retrograde flow in the left testicular vein, the size of the varicocele and the diameter of the left testicular vein. © 1986 by The American Urological Association Education and Research, Inc.FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited ByBraedel H, Steffens J, Ziegler M, Polsky M and Platt M (2018) A Possible Ontogenic Etiology for Idiopathic Left VaricoceleJournal of Urology, VOL. 151, NO. 1, (62-66), Online publication date: 1-Jan-1994.Gordon J, Aldoroty R and Stone N (2018) A Spermatic Cord Hematoma Secondary to Varicocele Rupture from Blunt Abdominal Trauma: A Case Report and ReviewJournal of Urology, VOL. 149, NO. 3, (602-603), Online publication date: 1-Mar-1993.Turner T and Lopez T (2018) Effects of Experimental Varicocele Require Neither Adrenal Contribution Nor Venous RefluxJournal of Urology, VOL. 142, NO. 5, (1372-1375), Online publication date: 1-Nov-1989.Roy C, Wilson T, Raife M and Horne D (2018) Varicocele as the Presenting Sign of an Abdominal MassJournal of Urology, VOL. 141, NO. 3 Part 1, (597-599), Online publication date: 1-Mar-1989.
