ResumoThe effects of Oriented Polypropylene (Pplus®) film bags on quality of 'Rainha Claudia Verde' plums stored at 2°C and 95% relative humidity has been investigated. Quality parameters tested included weight loss, external colour (L* a* b*), visual assessment of the epidermis, epidermis puncture test, mesocarp penetration test, soluble solids content (SSC), and titratable acidity. Oriented polypropylene (OPP) film bags reduced weight loss of fruit compared with that of untreated control fruit, but the SSC was lower. The results for textural properties and visual assessments suggest that film bags can be used to store 'Rainha Claudia Verde' plums, but for no more than 42 days.
