ResumoThis paper started out as a modest little survey of the varieties of ecological experience, with a deep formal bow to William James and a conspiratorial wink to Edmund Husserl. It ended up wrestling with that tar baby of ecological ethics, the place of (anthropocentric) moral categories within a (biocentric) evolutionary reality.
