ResumoZwitterionic liquids (ZILs) are proposed to overcome the problem of component ion migration in ordinary ionic liquids (ILs). Both cation and anion are tethered to suppress their migration under potential gradient, and target ions can be transported by mixing ZILs and salts containing target ions. We have prepared novel solid polymer electrolytes composed of ZIL, LiTFSI, and polymerized IL, and investigated the effect on the ionic conductivity of adding ZIL. The ionic conductivity of the IL polymer fell with increasing LiTFSI concentration. According to Raman spectroscopy, the fraction of ion-pairs increased with increasing LiTFSI concentration. ZIL is confirmed as promoting the dissociation of LiTFSI in the polymer matrix.
