El tiempo ritual = The ritual time

From the contemporary semiotic studies -with a structural orientation- I propose to consider three times interacting in the ritual: the existence (chronological time), the experience (lived time) and the velocity of action (slowness and speed) or tempo and its duration. To support this proposal I have analyzed and contrasted two religious practices of the Hispanic world: the ritual of the penitents of San Vicente de la Sonsierra (Spain) and the brotherhood of penance in Taxco, Guerrero (Mexico).
