Schultz & Schultz Bip., 2n = 18 (two populations from Finnish Lapland, N. of the Arctic Circle); Sonchus arvensis L. var. arvensis, 2n = c.36 (S. Finland), 2n = 54 (W. Norway), var. glabrescens Wimmer & Grab., 2n = 36 (two populations), var. maritimus Wahlenb. (non S. maritimus L.), 2n = c. 54.
