Resumo

The cover picture shows a note system starting with a stacked group of three semibreves. These notes symbolize the three phosphorus(V) species discussed in this paper, namely trifluorophosphates, [R3PF3]–, difluorophosphoranes, R3PF2, and fluorophosphoranes, [R3PF]+. As in the periodic table, the heavy homologue bismuth is located on a lower note. Details are discussed in the article by B. Hoge et al. on p. 3999 ff. For more on the story behind the cover research, see the Cover Profile.
