We embarked on a 6-hour car drive from Charleston, SC, to the back wood of Cleveland, GA, in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains to pick up our handsome new Black and Tan Coonhound puppy that I named Seedorf, after Clarence Seedorf, the prolific Dutch soccer player whom I admired. The journey proved to be a worthwhile endeavor beacuse Seedorf has been a loyal, beloved—and loud—member of our family for the past decade.
