Resumo

This study presents a brief analysis of the Inhotim Museum, the largest open air museum in the world.In it are exhibited works of contemporary art inserted in the environment, in a dialogue with nature, present in a forest reserve which was an old farm process.In gardens, architecture and art, the works also relate to each other.At the local cultural, artistic and educational tours are offered, because the museum has an educational sector facing education through reflection on the works of art exhibited and the environment, the preservation of environmental and cultural heritage.The art in this context, wins one based on some concepts of Contemporary Art, which are based on studies proposed by authors such as Giulio Carlo Argan, Umberto Eco, Michael Archer, Ernst Fischer, Fayga Ostrower, among other analysis.
