ABSTRACT Specimens of Heteropsyche schawerdae n.c. (Zerny) (Epipyropidae, Lep.) were found and reared for several years in Israel. Both the male and the female adults are briefly described and illustrated; drawings of their genitalia are given as well. The larva is described and illustrated, drawings of different parts of its body are presented. A note is added on the biology of this species in Israel.
