Resumo

In this work we are looking to analyze the film series of Voracious Games, adapted from Suzanne Collins' homonymous books, in order to understand how this saga became a blockbuster. In this sense, it is proposed a filmic analysis of the quadrilogy with discussion about the literary and audiovisual references of the films, especially Admiravel Mundo Novo and 1984 and their adaptations. Finally, it is concluded that the saga Games Hunters confronts themes such as state oppression, economic decline and manipulation of mass media to an extent of amplitude rarely seen in the current system of commercial production in Hollywood.
