A ideia estritamente documental dos periódicos tem sido desconstruída por diversos estudos que corroboram sua relevância para os estudos de um modo geral, interdisciplinares. História, Jornalismo e Literatura são áreas que tem se beneficiado através das (re)descobertas oriundas de jornais e revistas arquivadas nos diversos acervos espalhados pelo mundo. Nessa perspectiva, considerando não só a questão da longa permanência na imprensa, mas também a essência de seus textos e seu contexto, e sua relevância na imprensa de sua época, seleciona-se a Revista Feminina, editada na capital paulista de 1915 a 1936, para ser alvo de um olhar pormenorizado. Especificamente para esse estudo, procura-se demonstrar a relevância desse manual para a mulher do século XX que, idealizado e dirigido por uma poderosa senhora, D. Virgilina de Souza Salles, comemora neste ano, seu centenário de criação.********************************************************************The Revista Feminina (1915-1936) centenary: reflections about its journeyAbstract: The idea of journals being strictly documental has been deconstructed by several studies that corroborate its relevance for studies in general, interdisciplinary. History, Journalism and Literature are some of the areas that have benefited from the (re) discoveries coming from newspapers and magazines stored in various collections around the world. From this perspective, considering not only the issue of long stay in the press, but also the essence of these texts and their context and relevance in the press of these days, “Revista Feminina”, published in São Paulo from 1915 to 1936, was the selected the journal to be the subject of a detailed study. Specifically for this article, we seek to demonstrate the relevance of this literary manual for the woman of the twentieth century, conceived and directed by a powerful lady, D. Virgilina de Souza Salles, which celebrates this year its centenary creation. Keywords: centenary, 20th century; literary magazines; women and literature.
