In order to investigate the internal state of blast furnace, Amagasaki No. 1 B.F., having the inner volume of 721 m3, was blown down and quenched with water on 5th November 1976, after a normal operating condition.In this paper, the results of dissection such as the general views of burden distribution, temperature distribution, change in physical and chemical properties of burden materials in the furnace are described.
