EnglishBy the 1980s new approaches to organization appeared, powered by various contributions, among which the experiences of Italian industrial districts, where stands the concept of territorial systems of production of competitive success (Lopez, 2001:106). This discourse of development and territory management based on endogenous gains and the need to identify their competitive advantages has been enhanced with the introduction of the concept of democratic, inclusive and local 'governance', which is characterized by the involvement of a large number of players - individuals and institutions - representing various interests and should therefore work preferably in networking or partnership (EU, 2003). In this theoretical context, in July 2009, the Polytechnic Institute of Beja promoted a cultural event based on a matrix - the em.cantos - bringing together as partners, the fourteen municipalities in the district of Beja, the Civil Government of this region and two regional media organs. This extended abstract deals with that experience of organizational cooperation, the sharing of responsibilities in the implementation of the various editions in the period in which the event took place, ie, September 2009 to July 2010, and thus an innovative form of partnership to contribute to good governance and sustainable development of the territory. portuguesNa decada de 1980 assistimos a emergencia de novas abordagens de organizacao alimentadas por variados contributos, de entre os quais se salienta em ultima analise, as experiencias dos distritos industriais italianos, e onde sobressai o conceito de sistemas territoriais de producao de sucesso competitivo (Lopes, 2001:106). Este discurso de desenvolvimento e gestao do territorio baseado nas mais valias endogenas e na necessidade de identificar as suas vantagens competitivas foi ainda enriquecido com a introducao do conceito de governanca, democratica, inclusiva e local, que se caracteriza pelo envolvimento de um grande numero de actores – cidadaos e instituicoes - que representam diversos interesses e que deverao, por isso, trabalhar preferencialmente, em rede ou em parceria (UE, 2003). E neste contexto teorico que, em Julho de 2009, o Instituto Politecnico de Beja se assumiu como promotor principal de um evento cultural de matriz – o em.cantos – reunindo como parceiros, os catorze municipios do distrito de Beja, o Governo Civil desta regiao e ainda dois orgaos regionais de comunicacao social. O que se pretende apresentar neste resumo e a experiencia efectiva desta cooperacao organizacional, a partilha de responsabilidades na realizacao das diferentes edicoes, no periodo em que teve lugar o evento, ou seja, de Setembro de 2009 a Julho de 2010, e assim, uma modalidade inovadora de parceria contributiva para a boa governanca e para o desenvolvimento sustentavel do territorio.
