The fear of the possible depletion of water suitable for consumption has led people to look for ways to reduce and control the rampant use.Thus, there are new alternatives to avoid the use of water for less noble purposes, such as the collection and treatment of gray water for reuse.Therefore, this study aims to analyze the availability and demand of gray water in the Lecture Pavilion of the Federal University of Viçosa -Campus Rio Paranaíba, as well as estimate the volumes of the reservoirs and treatment system.Drinking water consumption in cleaning yards and in the toilets discharges were estimated.In addition the volume of gray water daily generated was also determined.From these data it was possible to design the reservoirs and the volume of gray water to be treated.The results indicated that by providing gray water to supply part of the water demand of the building it is possible to save 66 cubic meters of drinking water per month.
