Resumo

A new genus, Duridrilus, is established for D. tardus sp.n. from subtidal, coarse coral sands at Bermuda and Barbados in the NW Atlantic. The species appears related to Phallodrilus and Bathydrilus (subfamily Phallodrilinae) in that it has two prostate glands per atrium and lacks true penes. However, it is distinguished from other phallodrilines by its possession of eversible pseudopenes, the ectal location of the (two pairs) prostate glands on the atria, the retractable prostomium, and the encrustation of foreign particles on its body wall.
