Environmental Sustainability and Education

The Extension Project Cultural Identity on the Environmental Protected Areas of Nova Friburgo, in 2013, was working in two districts of the municipality (Lumiar and Sao Pedro da Serra), located in the Environmental Protection Area of Macae de Cima. The focus remained by the on-site survey, based on direct observation about the cultural manifestations that socially identify the population of such places. This research culminated in workshops in the classrooms of public schools related to the creation of a potential database for the development of tourism.
