ResumoIn this paper, we present an overview of the plurilingual interactions involving the use of the Ukrainian language in the classes of the third-year of high school group of a public school situated in a rural community in the municipality of Prudentópolis, in the southeast of the state of Paraná, in the south of Brazil. The theoretical assumptions that guide this study include the concepts such as linguistic repertoires, language practices and translanguaging. The data are part of a linguistic ethnography study and the data analysis shows that plurilingual interactions in class occur predominantly among students in conversations about issues unrelated to school content, in exuberant participations, and also, though to a lesser extent, to construction of knowledge about the topic of the class.
