Ancient Egypt and Archaeology

This paper aims to analyze the context, the referent and the object associated with the word Hittite Siu, whose primary meaning is etymologically *dyeu, making reference to the Proto-Indo-European.I analyze the state of the matter and I provide an outline of an alternative solution to the problems that rise from the reading of that ancient Hittite word.That alternative solution seems to be consistent with the hypothesis of a henotheism.
