This paper has the aim to analyze the subject of children's books published in Brazil dealing with Physical Education and Sport.To develop the paper, the subject analysis technique was employed.The corpus of analysis collected 90 children's books.The results obtained in this paper indicated that: (a) 37 subjects were identified in the 90 children's books analysed; (b) the subject soccer presented the great incidence, with 44 books; (c) in second place, with only four books, appeared the subject running; (d) the subjects toys and Clube de Regatas do Flamengo appeared in three children's books, each one; (e) the majority of subjects identified in the corpus of children's books presented only one incidence.In conclusion, it was possible to state the predominance of the subject soccer in children's literature dealing with Physical Education and Sport.
