Plant and Fungal Species Descriptions

Abstract Two Orchidaceae species, Psilochilus modestus Barb. Rodr. and Elleanthus hirtzii Dodson, are reported for the first time from Colombia. Previously the latter orchid was reported only from Ecuador. Psilochilus modestus was known from Bolivia, Brazil and Venezuela. The morphological descriptions of the specimens from Colombia are complemented with brief notes on their diagnostic characters.
