ResumoThis study aims to contribute to the debate on the formation of Physical Education teachers to intervene in a qualified manner in Rural Education, especially in knowledge about Leisure, based on historical and dialectical materialism, the Marxist perspective. The main question was: how is being developed debate on the formation of Physical Education teachers in Rural Education, from the pleasure of knowledge? The aim of this study was to analyze as it has been made the training of physical education teachers to work in the rural, considering the knowledge of the Leisure. This is a literature (Gil, 2007), making lifting theoretical references and published through written and electronic. For this, we rely on Bardin content analysis (2006), as the nature of the research data is classified as qualitative, according to Minayo (2001). Data analysis was performed according to the organization Bardin (2006). It was observed in the analysis of the data that training of physical education teachers for town and country could help to break the urban-rural bias. As for leisure, as we are losing more and more or failing to demand what is rightfully ours was observed.
