ResumoThere were studied 90 forensic medical examination reports of Lviv forensic bureau: 54 dead males, 36 females. In the victims of severe combined injury, the skeletal trauma was associated with brain injury in 50 % of cases, and in 50 % with chest injury, rib fractures were complicated by hemopneumotorax, also there were found most common concomitant injuries of the abdominal organs and urinary system. Pathomorphological studies to some extent will be able to focus the doctors’ attention on the organs most sensitive to hypotension and hypoxia that may prevent or reduce the cascade of complications, which lead to a lethal outcome. Identified histological changes in the internal organs of severely affected patients with concomitant injury may be useful to select the appropriate method of intensive care and to reduce the severity of the syndrome of mutual aggravation in patients with polytrauma and skeletal component of injury.
