Resumo

O objetivo do presente trabalho e analisar dois momentos do filme Batman, de 1989, dirigido por Tim Burton, partindo do pressuposto de que e possivel desdobrar os aspectos formais da tessitura de sua sintaxe filmica, a fim de estabelecer conexoes entre a imagetica da câmera e o lugar do espectador. Em nosso estudo buscamos refletir a retorica filmica de Batman e duas vertentes da producao cinematografica mundial, o Expressionismo alemao e o cinema noir, apoiando nossa reflexao nos trabalhos de Kracauer (1988), Eisner (1985), Canepa (2006) e Mascarello (2006). Foi possivel constatar que Burton constroi, em Batman, uma estetica urbana que se aproxima destas tendencias cinematograficas, sobretudo nos usos da luz.The goal of this paper is to analyse two moments from the Batman film, from 1989, directed by Tim Burton, starting from the assumption that it is possible to unfold the formal aspects of the texture of the film syntax, seeking to establish connections between the camera imagetics and the place of the spectator. In our text we aim to reflect the film rethoric of Batman and two waves of World Cinema production, German Expressionism and film noir, supporting our reflection on the works of Kracauer (1988), Eisner (1985), Canepa (2006) and Mascarello (2006). It was possible to find in Burton’s Batman the construction of an urban aesthetics wich is next to those cinematographic movements, especially in its use of lighting.
