ResumoThe author states in his preface that this is a book for 'those with only a slight knowledge of physics, and that perhaps somewhat rusty' and the introduction contains an account in simple language of the state of experimental knowledge at the end of the nineteenth century and the ideas of such men as Faraday and Maxwell. Like all such simple accounts, it can be read with much profit by those who might be supposed to have a considerable knowledge of physics.
