ResumoThe understanding of art as a trigger of interdisciplinary knowledge guides, in this article, reflections on cultural mediation and its territories. From Fayga Ostrower (1998), the reading of works and exhibition spaces are articulated with concepts brought by Dewey (2010), Rancière (2010), Aguirre (2011) and Arantes (2006), among others. Different cartographies accessed by works of the Mappa Mundi exhibition, curated by Guillaume Monsaingeon (Berardo Museum / Lisboa, 2011) and children's drawings worked on a pedagogical intervention / master's research of Estela Bonci (2013), in an interdisciplinary project at the exhibition Collection, Science and Art (Centro Maria Antonia / USP, 2011), bring elements for the understanding of cultural mediation especially regarding educational curathorship and cultural heritage. Images, organized in photo-essays, become focus of analysis and drive readings beyond disciplinary boundaries.
