The South Presbytery of Paraíba is a concilium of the Presbyterian Church of Brazil that has as its present jurisdiction eleven churches.The visibility to the social cultural contexts promoted by Information Science motivated in this research work the documental preservation and the institutional ecclesiastic memory as a reflection theme and archival proceedings on the documental mass of the South Presbytery of Paraíba and its churches.Exploratory, documentary, qualitative research, devoted to documents of permanent use and directed to the elaboration of an archival proceedings manual on the organization and preservation of the institutional memory with the intention of evoking the possibility of an archival organization for the churches of the South Presbytery of Paraíba's history and ecclesiastic institutional collective memory preservation in the State of Paraíba.
