ResumoNatural therapeutical resources have been used as a remedies for suferings from the earliest times.Balneal medicine and health tourism have a long tradition in our country, Romania has a important therapeutic mineral resources, 30% of the resources in Europe.Marine climate, chlorosodic concentrated hypertonic water and mud are natural therapeutic factors of Techirghiol, offering great potential and uniqueness for this country corner.Located on the lakeside with the same name, at 3 km from the Black Sea, in the south-east of the country, the town of Techirghiol was attested as a balnear resort early as 1899 with the inauguration of maritime asylum Techirghiol and then in 1972 with the opening of Balneal and Rehabilitation Sanatorium of Techirghiol, one of the most important national balneal institution with international renown.The paper aims to summarize the highlights of 2015, a small brief of a continuous process of development of a favorable environment for growth addressed to increase the quality of provided health services and also the increase of accommodation in resort with direct impact on meeting the demands of our patients and maintaining prestigious position in the Romanian medical world.
