UMA PROPOSTA DE CONTÍNUO PARAMÉTRICO NO PORTUGUÊS: FATOS SÓCIO-HISTÓRICOS

Resumo

O presente estudo visa descrever um possível contínuo de variação de gênero do crioulo falado em Cabo Verde ao português falado atualmente no Brasil, tanto na zona urbana, quanto nas comunidades rurais afrodescendentes de Muquém (situada em Alagoas, mais especificamente em União dos Palmares, tida como o berço do Quilombo dos Palmares e de um momento histórico importante para a história do Brasil), e de Helvécia (localizada no Município de Nova Viçosa, na microrregião de Porto Seguro, extremo sul da Bahia). Com essa comparação, verificaram-se as semelhanças e diferenças na marcação do gênero, estabelecendo paralelos entre processos de mudança na morfossintaxe nessas comunidades que passaram por um amplo e profundo contato linguístico em sua história. Abstract The present study aims to describe a possible continuum of gender variation of the Creole spoken in Cape Verde to the Portuguese currently spoken in Brazil, both in the urban and in the rural Afro-descendant communities of Muquém (located in Alagoas, more specifically in União dos Palmares, considered the birthplace of the Quilombo dos Palmares and an important moment in the history of Brazil), and Helvécia (located in Nova Viçosa, in the microregion of Porto Seguro, southern Bahia). With this comparison verifies the similarities and differences with gender marking, establishing parallels between processes of morphosyntax change in these communities, which have undergone a broad and deep language contact in their history. To do so, firstly, it is a socio-historical review of the aforementioned communities in order to build this continuum of gender marking. KEYWORDS: Agreement. Gender. Continuous. Contact.
