ResumoThe Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) is the largest decorative arts museum in the world. The unrivalled collections, which have developed over the last 150 years and which continue to grow apace, are housed within a complex of Grade 1 listed buildings in South Kensington. These buildings, started in the 1850s and completed by Aston Webb in 1909, are an important part of the Museum experience. They encompass seven miles of galleries in which the public may encounter diverse collections: these include ceramics, dress, furniture, glass, jewellery, metalwork, photographs, paintings, sculpture and textiles drawn from Europe and Asia.
