ResumoAlexandra Kollontai is a personality study that many teachers express interest in using for their HSC classes but, as I often hear: 'There is so little written about her'. This brief literature review hopes to demonstrate that this assumption is untrue. There is, in fact, a rich body of literature still under construction about the world's first female ambassador and it is increasingly easy to access. In addition, this review tries to introduce some of the more prominent historical works about Kollontai's life. It hardly needs mentioning that a brief essay such as this is far from comprehensive. It should, nevertheless, suffice as a reasonable orientation to the literature on Alexandra Kollontai. More importantly, I hope that it will encourage more teachers to use Kollontai with their senior Modern History classes.
