Resumo

Significant differences were found in the CO2-compensation point and its O2 dependence between the species Moricandia arvensis, M. sinaica and M. foetida. The lowest values for both parameters were found in M. arvensis, the highest in M. foetida. In the leaf anatomy there were significant differences, too. In M. arvensis the leaf veins are in close contact with a sheath of chloroplast rich cells. This is not the case in M. foetida, M. sinaica in this relation is intermediate between the other two species.
