The science fairs are an important method to encourage scientific research in schools.Especially in public schools, that in many situations, do not have science laboratories and specific materials.In July 2016, there was a Science Fair at a school in the rural area of Nova Petrópolis, RS.This event was open to the general public and had the participation of all students of final years of elementary education.Twenty two experiences were exposed.The experiments were evaluated by teachers and at the end of the fair, students winners were rewarded.
