Resumo

With the worsening of the current crisis in the country, many companies find themselves in need of proving to their clients that their service has high quality. The purpose of the present work is to present the ISO 9001 standard on quality management systems and to make a comparison between the implementation model proposed by the standard and the model followed by the company studied. The methodology used is that of a case study, which shows a multidimensional perception of the company's situation. The results show that the company does not have 12% of the documents or activities required and that approximately 30% of the company's documents or activities have opportunities for improvement. This shows that the company must first analyze its current situation before seeking an important and costly certification, since every type of process of a company must be well described, so that it follows without fail.
