ResumoThe tar formed during the gasification of biomass is an undesirable compound that interferes with the performance of the process and damage equipment.The methods of disposal of tar can be divided into primary and secondary, with the primary catalytic methods, and secondary methods of cleaning the gas produced.The focus of this work is to study the removal of tar through the catalytic process using a catalyst based on nickel.Through the mathematical model, the components of the tar cracking process will be analyzed, quantifying the production and consumption and the behavior of temperatures in gaseous and solid phases for a fixed bed reactor..
