The theme of this research is the constant confrontation between the copy model and the Japanese canonic model rupture in the haikus of Mario Quintana and Paulo Leminski. Considering that is possible to amplify the literary studies in Brazil about haiku, it is purposed a new critic perspective to estimate that literary genre. This research purposes that the haikus of Quintana and Leminski break the Japanese normative model in three levels: esthetic, formal and thematic. It is used in this work to theoretical elaboration in opposition to original/model method the conceit space in-between by Silviano Santiago.
