ResumoAbstract The structure of the Bras Jurassic massif, Provence, France, is the result of a pre-Sannoisian (Tertiary) double bedding-plane thrust, in which movement occurred at the base of the Muschelkalk and the Rhaetic (Triassic), in a sedimentary cover which had previously been folded in the upper Cretaceous. The Cannet range seems to be due to shearing off of a preexisting fault during this thrusting.
