ResumoThe relationship between the historic JESUS and the Church may be stated through a basic question: Did the historic and pre-easter Jesus want a Church? This question ist CHALLENGING and double meaning. As much double meaning as the word Church-itself. If by Church we mean grace, liberation, the coming of the Holy Ghost, the new creation, the heavenly Jerusalem and the Kingdom of God, in this case Christ did want the Church, and He had nothing else in mind in this world with His life, His message, death and resurrection.
