Esra pesquisa acompanhou os setores educativos do Solar Grand-JeandeMontigny, com uma exposicao de replicas de Portinari, e do Museu Nacional de Belas Artes, com Salvador Dali - ambos cariocas. No primeiro, as escolas agendavam uma visita guiada e, em seguida, com papel e lapis cera, criancas faziam o desenho da obra preferida. Na segunda, apos livre visitacao, criancas assistiam a um video e depois, com lapis cera e papel ou massa plastica, representavam o que viram. Em que medida essaspropostas estimulam o processo imaginativo? Foi levado em conta o repertorio? Foi-lhes dada oportunidade de contemplacao ativa? De dar asas a imaginacao? Estabelecer sentido? Criar? O dialogo com autores, a observacao dos mais de 3.000 desenhos infantis, entrevisra com monitores e acompanhamento das visiras fizeram com que a pesquisa concluisse que o processo imaginativo esta diretamente ligado as condicoes de apropriacao e de producao oferecidas as criancas. Abstract: This research describes the work of the educational service of the Solar GrandJean de Montigny, during exhibirion of Portinari replicas and of the Museu Nacional de BelasArtes during na exhibition of Salvador Dali replicas - both in Rio de Janeiro. At the former, after a tour, the children were invited to draw the picture rhey liked best. At the latter, following a self-guided visit, the children watched a video and, then, were asked to draw or to mold what they had seen. To what exrent do proposals like these stimulate children's imagination? Isthe children's prior knowledge taken into account? Are rhe children given the opportunity for active contemplarion? For giving way to their imagination? For making sense of it? For creating? The dialogue with different authors, the observation of more than 3000 children's drawings, the interview with guides and the observarion of guided visits led me to the conclusion that the imagina tive process is direcdy related with rhe appropriation and production condirions offered to children.
