In 2014, an outreach project from the Federal University of Ouro Preto developed a collective work about heritage education in the district of Amarantina (Ouro Preto) that reflected about the importance of heritage policies linked to local values.The project aimed at identifying and understanding the local heritage symbol called Casa da Pedra or Casa Setecentista (Stone House or the 18 th century house), which was listed as cultural heritage
