Based on the transculturality approach and traversing native and non-native imaginaries, this article analyzes fictional productions in Quebec and Brazil (Amazonia). The poet Laura Morali has taken an important step forward in Quebec: on her book Amititau, parlons-nous! (2008), she arouses a fruitful epistolary correspondence between Quebeckers and Natives. Pursuing this work, Uashtessiu, Lumière d’automne (2010) assembles spontaneously the voices of the poets Jean Désy and Rita Mestokosho. Their close relationship with the territory combined with their poetical language and sensibility allow them to go beyond cultural boundaries, which create a symbolic space for reconciliation. How is this dialogue established in Brazil? Drawing from João de Jesus Paes Loureiro in Romance das três flautas (1987), Aldísio Filgueiras in De pássaro para peixe and As estrelas de Chuva (2014), and also from Bruce Albert and Davi Kopenawa in the essays as La Chute du Ciel (2014), we will demonstrate the centrality of the myths in the process of dialogue between native and non-native imaginaries as well as the role of anthropologists. The way it is « staged » in the book: collected, transcribed, translated, rewritten, explained… The myth and its poetical or philosophical variations provide the favorable space for meeting alterities, that are keen on crossing borders and reaching imaginary territories able to foreshadow a new narrative of the Americas.
