ResumoMany theorists believe that we live in the age of knowledge. To survive in the global market, large corporations have learned that knowledge management is a strategic and important decision, since it is a precondition for companies considered innovative. In the context of the knowledge economy the journalist has worked increasingly within large companies and often, due to the inherent to professional practices, becomes the thread of knowledge. To understand how these professionals can act effectively in knowledge management was conducted a bibliographic study, followed by a case study to see how the practice of business journalism contributes specifically to the conversion of knowledge in tourism organizations. Will be presented practices, techniques and processes of the journalist and their duties within the company. For data collection was conducted an interview with journalist and manager of communication of the Theme Park Beto Carrero World, to examine whether its practice interferes in knowledge management. O roteiro de entrevista teve como objetivo identificar quais sao as atribuicoes do jornalista em uma empresa, analisando como este profissional contribui para externalizacao do conhecimento.
