Resumo

Addition of an excess of tetravalent cerium over the SiW9O34 polyoxometalates in 1 M sodium acetate buffer at pH = 4.7 leads in second crystallization to the unprecedented dodecameric cerium cluster [{Ce6(μ3-O)4(μ3-OH)3-(μ4-O)2-Ce6(μ3-O)4(μ3-OH)3}(CH3COO)13(SiW9O34)2]11 −. This compound has been characterized by IR spectroscopy, TGA, single crystal and powder X-Ray diffraction, SEM, EDS, ICP-OES.
