ResumoThe paper deals with recently developed extensions of the simulation language SIMCOS. SIMCOS is compiler and equation oriented CSSL language with all standard features like built in non linearities and signals, function generators, PROCEDURAL block etc. The language was expanded with "hybrid" simulation features which enable the simulation of systems with discrete controllers and continuous processes. The generalized dynamical operator enables also the simulation and experimentation with pure discrete (difference equations) systems. Elementary functions of real time systems enable to use SIMCOS as a tool for testing external devices (e.g. micro controllers) and to realize the true hybrid system with the analog computer EAI 2000. Finally the new concept with experimental sections and interactive, user friendly man machine interface rises SIMCOS above the level of a usual simulation language. It became a system which enables complex experimentations with simulation models. Optimization as a complex experiment additionally extends the applicability of SIMCOS in CACSD environment
