Perfil antropométrico e dietético de jogadores de futebol profissional do Noroeste do Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil

Resumo

Objetivo: avaliar o perfil antropomA©trico e dietA©tico de uma equipe de futebol profissional. A amostra foi composta por 27 atletas da sA©rie A do Campeonato GaAocho, com faixa etAiria entre 18 e 34 anos. O perfil antropomA©trico foi determinado atravA©s do peso, altura e da medida das dobras cutA¢neas, as variAiveis nutricionais foram obtidas por meio de uma anamnese e inquA©rito alimentar. As avaliaA§Aµes foram realizadas durante o perA­odo de prA©-competiA§A£o. Os achados da pesquisa evidenciaram uma adequada composiA§A£o corporal dos atletas. Em relaA§A£o aos hAibitos alimentares, a avaliaA§A£o da ingestA£o calA³rica mostrou que o percentual de consumo diAirio dos jogadores de futebol foi de 75,41 ± 19,40% das necessidades requeridas para contemplar a demanda energA©tica, podendo influenciar negativamente no desempenho. Quanto A distribuiA§A£o energA©tica dos macronutrientes foi possA­vel averiguar que a dieta dos jogadores se mostrou hipoglicA­dica, hiperprotA©ica e com um alto consumo de colesterol. JAi em relaA§A£o aos micronutrientes, houve um consumo consideravelmente abaixo do recomendado para os minerais cAilcio e magnA©sio, alA©m das vitaminas tocoferol e retinol. Conclui-se que a equipe de futebol apresentou uma dieta nutricionalmente inadequada para a prAitica da atividade, salientando a importA¢ncia de uma intervenA§A£o nutricional, atravA©s de um profissional nutricionista, no planejamento alimentar dos atletas, com o intuito de adequar os hAibitos alimentares e potencializar o desempenho esportivo. ABSTRACT Anthropometric and dietetic profile of professional football players from Rio Grande do Sul, northwest, BrasilFootball, as others high level sports, requires an adequate nutritional support that meet the required necessities, for both physical performance as to maintaining the various physiological functions. The aim of this study was to evaluate the anthropometric and dietetic profile of a professional football team. The sample was composed of 27 athletes participates of serie A of the GaAocho Championship. The age range was between 18 and 34 years. The anthropometric profile was determinate by the weight, height and measurement of skin folds, the nutritional variables were obtained through a medical history and dietary survey. All evaluations were performed during the pre-competition period. The research findings showed an adequate body composition of the athletes. As for eating habits, evaluation of caloric intake showed that the percentage of daily football players consumption was 75.41 ± 19.40% of the needs required to contemplate the energy demand, may negatively influence performance. The energy distribution of macronutrients was possible to verify that the diet of the players proved to be hypoglycemic, high protein and high intake of cholesterol. In relation to micronutrients consumption, it was considerably lower than recommended for the minerals calcium and magnesium, as well as vitamins tocopherol and retinol. Therefore, it is concluded that the football team presented a nutritionally inadequate diet for the practice of activity, claiming the importance of a nutritional intervention, through a professional nutritionist, in meal planning of athletes, in order to adequate the eating habits and enhance sports performance.
