Resumo

The intensity ratios of electromagnetic single-particle transitions in deformed odd-mass nuclei are considered. It is shown that the corrections to the nuclear wave functions due to the interaction between rotation and intrinsic motion can explain the observed deviations from Alaga's rules1) and asymmetry in the behaviour of dipole electrical transitions with ΔK = 0 and ΔK = ±1. The theoretical calculations are in agreement with experiment.
