A crítica do Papa Francisco ao pelagianismo

Resumo: O papa Francisco critica frequentemente o pelagianismo, seja nos âmbitos eclesiais, condenando comportamentos de fieis, sobretudo de bispos e padres, seja no campo da sociedade, da politica e da economia. O artigo se desenvolvera do seguinte modo: primeiro, faz-se uma rapida abordagem da historia e do significado da heresia pelagiana e dos riscos que ela traz para a vida de fe e para a acao evangelizadora, em contraponto com a doutrina agostiniana da graca; em seguida, apresenta-se a concepcao propria que tem o papa a respeito do pelagianismo; recolhe-se, entao, as advertencias do papa ao perigo atual do pelagianismo presente no mundo e na Igreja; por fim, no contraponto ao pelagianismo, anota-se o recorrente convite a vida na graca. Abstract: Pope Francis very often criticizes pelagianism, be it in ecclesiastical environments, condemning behavior of the faithful, especially of bishops and priests, be it in the field of society, of politics and economy. The paper proceeds in the following way: first, it gives a short synthesis of the history and meaning of the pelagian heresy, and of the risks that it brings to the life of faith and to the cause of evangelization, in counterpoint with the agostinian doctrine of divine grace; then it presents the personal conception of the Pope regarding pelagianism; thirdly, it collects the warnings of the Pope against the present danger of pelagianism in the world and in the Church; and finally, in counterpoint with pelagianism, it proposes an appealing invitation to life in grace.
