Colloidally synthesized Ni 12 P 5 nanoparticles were embedded into g-C 3 N 4 nanosheets via a solution-phase approach. The Ni 12 P 5 /g-C 3 N 4 photocatalysts manifested significantly improved noble-metal-free H 2 evolution.
