Could the internet and social networks be a space to exercise of the right to communicate as a counter-hegemonic media?In search of an answer to this question, the work looks on the potential of the digital environment for the exercise of counter-hegemony from other perspectives and initiatives that emerge in this scenario.The goal is to understand how an collective independent media can appropriate the possibilities of the digital environment to narrate in new directions, different and diverse from a hegemonic media.The analysis undertaken in this text focuses on the live broadcasts carried out by Jornalistas Livres on april, 28th, General Strike day, a mobilization movement agains reforms organized in Brazil by trade unions and social movements.Four moments throughout the day was the empirical object of the analysis of audiovisual materiality.
