Pascal Decroupet and Elena Ungeheuer reconstitute the elaboration of Karlheinz Stockhausen's key-work in the history of serial musical thought : Gesang der Jiinglinge. The investigation of the various sketches et worksheets is particularly useful in the case of electronic music : it allows to trace the criteria for the organisation of sound material back to its most intimate dimension : timbre. It also allows a most detailed analysis of the piece, taking into account the modifications in the compositional project during its realization.
